It’s 4 pm. Time for fashion!
I can’t pull it off very well myself but I love grunge fashion. Boots, an instant hit in my book. I can't believe he got those wonderfully aged boots for $10! And it’s cool the way this guy uses bold prints to break a dark palette.

Converse
I’m really loving my new Converse kicks. Love the studded hi tops and the flag emblem. Cedric got ‘em for me on Gilt. Great website. Good deals for stuff. I know that everyone goes through a Converse phase in high school but this only my second Converse pair.

Impressions on the first day of Milans Mens Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2011
Firstly, I'm not a professional ok? This is merely my opinion. I'm no Tim Gunn! Or whoever passes for a fashion expert these days.
The rendering of coats in neon colours by Burberry and Jil Sander provides standout pieces for Fall/Winter.
Costume National
I like this jacket from Costume Nacional. And the knit jumpers are sooo nice. Or are they cashmere?
Jil Sander
I like the cropped sleeves and length of the jumpers. It allows for execution of colour blocking.
I don't like the cut of some of the shirts though. I don't find 'em flattering.
Somehow they were able to pull off the cropped length, something that looked awful when Prada did it in Fall 2010. Granted, Prada's was way shorter. Also perhaps because of the fit? Prada's was shrunken all over even along the torso giving one the impression that it shrunk while in the wash. That's just me though.

Dolce & Gabbana
Dolce & Gabbana stuck to their formula. One of my blazers I got from H&M looks like one of the brocade jackets. I have no doubt that the one from Dolce is nicer LOL.
I like that a lot of their trousers have a slight drop. I'm still not over dropcrotch
They also did the cropped length and sleeve effect but they executed theirs using trompe d'oleil.

I like the neck pieces.
Corneliani
I like the patchwork effect. It breaks the pattern and stands out in a sea of sombre black and grey suits.
Hubbylicious Francisco Lachowski walked for the show and the other shows of course. Oh, and Fil-Canadian model, Paolo Roldan, of Givenchy fame walked too.
I don't get the bathrobe though.

Trussardi had too much leather for my taste.

Roughin it
With the resurgence of American heritage brands I think I’m getting swept up in it. This full grain boot leather duffel by Saddleback Leather Co has been on my mind for months. I appreciate the raw quality of the leather. It’s a kind of leather that’ll age gracefully. Every nick and mark a testament to its hardiness. I love it. It’s so Indiana Jones / rough country
